Here are several types of fillings and toppings to enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. white potatoes
  • 12 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 3 sweet onions
  • 1 stick salted butter


Filling

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Add milk and salt 
  • Add cheese and mix until the cheese is melted


Topping

  • Slice 3 sweet onions 
  • Sauté in melted butter

Ingredients

  • 16 oz sauerkraut
  • 2 stick salted butter
  • 3 sweet onions


Filling 

  • Drained sauerkraut


Topping

  • Slice 3 sweet onions 
  • Sauté in melted butter


Note:  If you do not want onions, just top with melted butter.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Large curd cottage cheese
  • 16 oz Farmers cheese
  • 1-2 large eggs  (1 egg  for a drier mix)
  • 1 tbsp flower
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • Saltine crackers
  • 2 sticks salted butter


Filling

  • Mix the eggs, cottage cheese, farmers cheese, flower, and salt in a large bowl


Topping

  • Crush saltine crackers into small pieces
  • Melt butter in a pan
  • Add the crushed crackers to the pan and brown until lightly golden in color

  • Ingredients
  • 3 lb. white potatoes
  • 1-2 chopped sweet onion
  • 2 sticks of salted butter


Filling Preparation Instructions:

  • Boil potatoes, mash
  • Sauté onion in butter
  • Mix in the mashed potatoes and chopped sauteed onion in a bowl


Topping Preparation Instructions:

  • Melt butter in a pan
  • Roll and coat pierogi in melted butter

Fresh blueberry topped with coarse sugar

Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh blue berry
  • Coarse sugar


Filling Preparation Instructions:

  • Warm blueberries in a pot creating mix of gel and whole blue berries


Topping Preparation Instructions:

  • Coarse sugar - no preparation required
  • Top the pierogi with the coarse sugar
